What's good and bad about where you live?

Location:  Brooklyn NY

The Good :

1) Very culturally diverse population.  We have people here from every place on the planet.  One result of this is...

2) A large variety of places to eat.  This works well for me because I seldom have time to cook.  It's nice to be able to grab a healthy meal.

3) Public transportation.  I'm fortunate to live close to 4 bus lines and 3 subway stations.  It's nice to be able to travel without the hassle of parking.

4) Shopping.  There are several chain stores inlcuding a Target and Walgreens as well as convience stores within walking distance.

5) Things to do. There are a multitude of lounges, bars, clubs within walking distance.

The Bad:

It's do damn expensive to buy property here.

NewYork NewYork Big city of dreams! Everything in NewYork isnt always what it seems.

well, I'm living in Aachen, the most westerly city in Germany, directly on the borders to Belgium and the Netherlands :-)

About 260000 people are living here, 40000 of them are students. Aachen has a well known university of applied sciences. Aachen has IMHO its own flair and an unique old city centre (historic attractions, bars, restorants, ...) here in Germany. Aachen has a sister city in the states since 1993: Arlington County, Virginia.
